we have a LAN connection here... its a small business....
i wanted to view a co workers contacts which he gave me permissions to do
so..
i gave him permission to view my contacts and he can view thm fine...I'm
running on office 2002 and he is running office 2003 . . why cant i view
those contacts...??its so easy for my co worker to view my contacts, he just
opens his outlook and click on the the contact icon and thn it gives him the
option to view share contacts and he just has to input my name and their he
has my contacts...
can someone please help... i hate running to him for a number and hate
calling so much for a contact #...
Do you have an Exchange server? If not I'd guess the problem is that he's
got an Outlook 2003 PST file which Outlook 2002 can't read. But Outlook
2003 can read Outlook 2002 PST files.
Of course neither of you can share those files simultaneously -- by which I
mean that he can't access your PST file while you're using it. PSTs aren't
designed to be shared that way.

If you have an Exchange server then they shouldn't be using PSTs. Move all
that stuff into their Exchange mailboxes and set the permissions on the
folders in Exchange. Then everybody can share with everybody. (or at least
everybody you give permissions to)
