  Question
I often edit images or create diagrams in PowerPoint 2003 (usually as a
substitute for PhotoShop etc.). However, there seems to be an inherent
compression when exporting from powerpoint in any way.

I have tried:
- Right click, "save as picture", tiff or bmp
- File, Save As, tiff or bmp
- Copy, Paste into paint

In all cases, the uncompressed files that I am working with ends up somewhat
compressed (looks like a JPG). I've tried playing with all the options but I
can't seem to stop this. Any ideas?

(Perhaps this is fixed in 2007?)

Try saving as an EMF -- then convert it in another program to the file type
you want.
