  Question
This should be a simple task but I don't see any way to remove a hyperlink
once it's there (other than re-typing the word) in a Content Editor web part.
If you highlight the word and set it's hyperlink to nothing it's still a
hyperlink to nowhere. Am I missing the obvoius or is this simple task missing?

  Answer
You’re not crazy Dave it does seem to be a design problem. The other option
would be to remove it through using the source editor but that is not all
that user friendly either.

Another option is to create a forms library and store your data using
InfoPath. In InfoPath you can create your own unique ID. Make sure you get
Office 2007 and not 2003 if you want Designer. InfoPath integration with
SharePoint is available with Office 2003 and 2007.
