  Question
I've read that 'functionality is limited' when the Sharepoint Server 2007
trial version expires. What exactly should I expect when the license does
expire? Will any existing content be lost, or will sites become unavailable?
Is there any blog posting or Microsoft statement that you can reference that
outlines exactly what functionality is lost?

Thanks!

  Answer
I believe visitors get a message that say the license has expired. No
content is lost though, if you purchase a MOSS license you can apply it to
the expired Trial installation and everything will work again. That
happened to me. It took me about two minutes to fix. Not a big deal at
all.

And what happens if some silly company installs MOSS but doesn't bother to
begin using it until after the trial has expired. (That would be us.) Now
we're motivated to "get under the hood" and start using all the functionality
but we can't without starting over... Isn't there a way to extend the trial
w/o uninstalling/reinstalling MOSS?

Suggestions??

If you didn't bother using it until the trial expired, you won't have
any data so just uninstall and re-install.

  Hi,

I'm currently working on the migration of a MCMS site to sharepoint.
Due to time constrain (the Data center with MOSS07 sites was not ready) I've
started the migration job on a trial version of MOSS 07.
Is there a way to extend the trial period for a couple of month?

the technical task of the migration if done (master pages & web part
created) and I need to import our content once again before moving our site
to the devinitive MOSS server.

Due due to slow decision and organisation change, we've reach the expiration
date of MOSS.
So it will be great if I can extend the trial for 2-3 month.

Is it possible?

thanks
