How do I remove headers and footers from sub-sequent pages? in Word General Questions

  Question
  I have a document with several pages. I only need the header and footer
information displayed on the first page.

Appreciate your assistance.

  Answer
  In the Page Setup > Layout tab, check "Different First Page" under Headers
and Footers.

Then you will have a different header and footer on the first page which you
can edit separately.

I am not a Word guru, took me awhile to figure out, but your instructions
were right on once I took my foot out of the way!

  Enable "Different first page" (Layout tab of Page Setup) and put the header
and footer content in the First Page Header and First Page Footer only.
