  Question
Is it possible to convert a Form in Word to a .pdf file? When I click on the
"convert to pdf" icon on my toolbar whilst I am in the form, nothing happens.
Any help greatly appreciated.

You need to have an application available that converts to PDF. Do you
have that available?

Yes I do have that available.

If I open a regular Word document and click the pdf icon it will convert as
normal. Perhaps Forms in Word limit the capability to convert to .pdfs?

  Answer
The problem is that the macros cannot run while the form is locked. You will
either have to run code to unlock the document send it to pdf and then
re-lock, or simply print to the Adobe driver.

Word forms and PDF forms are two pretty different beast. I'm not aware
of any simple tool which transforms the former into the latter.

If you need to create PDF forms, make sure you define your requirements
(who needs to fill these out, which software can you expect him to have,
in which way does the result flow back to you) before you start and make
sure the chosen form really lives up to the specifications.

I suggest you take a look into comp.text.pdf and scan the last couple of
dozens of posts which contain "form" ...

Our office has to send all email attachments as pdfs .
I created the protected form with fillable fields. The office then saves
to thier desktop. When they need to use Form fill in the text form fields
and save with appropriate name. Then they they Print to Adobe. This is
for Adobe 7. we have found a few quirks and had to work around. Lisa
