SituationAlthough many large organizations have automated recruiting systems, such as applicant tracking systems, organizations often find that these tools do not fully meet the needs of the individuals involved in recruiting. Often, Microsoft Office tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel are used by recruiters and hiring managers to supplement recruiting software. As a result, recruiters must manually switch between recruiting software and Microsoft Office to complete steps in the recruiting process. The following figure shows a typical recruiting process where switching between tools is a frequent occurrence.
Figure 1 Two distinct sets of arrows show a sequential repetition which emphasizes how often recruiters must switch between existing technologies and Office applications
SolutionAn ideal solution would integrate recruiting-specific software with the Microsoft Office System to enable a seamless recruiting process. This type of solution could significantly reduce the amount of time wasted on switching between previously disconnected tools. See a Demo
