As a Microsoft Office System Partner, you will want to take advantage of Partner Solution Profiler and other Office System partner directories by creating your profile with Solution Profiler and extending it in the Office System Solutions Directory (OSSD). You can accomplish this in two simple steps:

  1. Select one of the three following options that is most applicable to you:

+ To profile a new solution...
    1. Create a solution profile in Partner Solution Profiler
      1. For general profile information on how to create a successful, effective solution profile, download the Profiler Completion Guide.
      2. On Tab 2: Solution Overview: In the products section, choose the Office products that your solution utilizes.
      3. On Tab 6: Preview and Publish: After you press publish, look at the top of the page for the following message:
        publish confirmation message
      4. Click on the button "Take me to OSSD."
    2. Extend your profile into the Office System Solutions Directory
      1. Click the "Import Solutions Created in Solution Profiler" link under the "View Solutions Imported from External Systems" dashboard.
      2. Pick the profile that was imported from Partner Solution Profiler and click the "Promote" button next to the entry. This information will pre-populate the majority of the fields.
+ To import an existing solution into OSSD
    1. Go to www.iwsolve.com and sign in
+ To edit a solution that is profiled in OSSD
    1. Go to www.iwsolve.com and sign in
      1. Click on the solution you want to edit under the "Office Solutions" dashboard.
      2. On the top right of your solution click "Edit Solution".

  2. Complete any required fields with the additional information necessary. Please pay close attention to following items as they are directly linked to how your solution is represented in the directories:
    1. On the "Overview" tab, you will be prompted to select the audience to whom your solution will be shown. For it to be visible in customer-facing solution directories, it is critical that you select the first option: "Microsoft.com and Microsoft Internal…"
      Overview: choose audience
    2. On the "Capabilities & MS Integration" tab:
      1. For the "IW Capability" field, select the Capability for which your solution is most applicable from the drop down menu:
        • Business Intelligence
        • Communications & Collaboration
        • Data Visualization
        • Desktop Deployment
        • Enterprise Content Management & Forms
        • Enterprise Project Management
        • Enterprise Search
        • Office Business Applications
        • Unified Communications

IW Capabilities: choose most appropriate capability
      2. For the "Business Processes" field, select up to 3 of the options from the drop down menus. The available options will be based on the capability that you have selected above.

Note: If you have solution offerings that cover more than three of these categories, you will need to duplicate your solution offering so that you have as many categories as applicable. This is crucial in ensuring your solutions are represented accurately to customers, partners, and the Microsoft Field. When duplicating your solutions, the majority of your data will be duplicated to the new solution, except however, you will be asked to re-complete the text fields (solution name, solution summary, etc.)

Before duplicating, we recommend making sure that all of your existing data is accurate so that you can avoid making changes multiple times for each duplicate solution.
    3. Click on the "Save and Continue" button on the bottom of the page to proceed to the next section.
    4. Click the "Submit Solution" button under the "Review & Submit" tab to complete your profile.

Upon completing these two steps, opting in to show your solution publicly, and having your profile approved, it will be available to customers in partner solution directories worldwide.

While profiling your organization's solution offering(s), please keep in mind that we are asking you to profile your individual solution rather than your company. The Microsoft Field and customers will use this profile to learn what your solution does and how it will solve their particular problem. If you have multiple solutions, or if your solutions vary by industry or organizational role, we encourage you to profile them separately. Conveniently, OSSD has a duplicate button (located in the "Profile Your Solutions" section of the welcome page) to simplify this process.

The Microsoft Field and customers will use the information you have entered in these fields to search for your solution. Therefore, accuracy and detail will directly influence the quality of leads you may receive as a result of profiling. Subsequently, we suggest that you take the adequate time required to create compelling messaging for the overview/description that reflects the value of your solution to our joint customers.
