About My Company Portal

My Company Portal is the Web site provided by Microsoft Online Services for end users to access company services. Users can also use My Company Portal to download required software. In addition to serving as a starting point for software and services, My Company Portal also provides first-tier support in the form of links to Help content and tips for using the services.

About My Company Portal

To access My Company Portal, in the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application, click My Company Portal. You can also type the URL for My Company Portal directly into your Web browser. To find the URL for My Company Portal, see URLs for Microsoft Online Services.

My Company Portal includes a Home page and a Downloads page.

From the Home page of My Company Portal, end users can:

  • Access e-mail and calendar information using Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA) and Microsoft Exchange Online.
  • Share information on company intranet sites created with SharePoint Online.
  • Launch a Web conference using Microsoft Office Live Meeting.
  • Get tips on how to use OWA and work with SharePoint Online intranet sites.

From the Downloads page, end users can download the software needed to install the services. They can also download optional software, such as the trial version of Microsoft Office Professional 2007, that works with their services.

Access to My Company Portal

In order to provide end users with access to My Company Portal, the service administrator must:

  • Create an account for each user in the Microsoft Online Services Administration Center.
  • Deploy the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application to users. With the Sign In application, users can sign in to Microsoft Online Services once to access all services available to them through their company subscription.
Note 
Microsoft Online Services strongly recommends accessing My Company Portal and other online services only through the Sign In application. Use of the services without being signed in through the Sign In application is not supported.
