Change Your Password for Mac

You can change your password only once within 24 hours. If you try to change your password a second time within 24 hours, you will be locked out of the Change Password page. If you are locked out, your service administrator can help you reset your password. For security reasons, passwords must be changed at least once every 90 days. The Microsoft Online Services Sign In application and My Company Portal prompt you to change your password 14 days before the 90-day limit.

To change your password in the Sign In application

  1. In the Sign In application, on the Connect menu, click Change Password.

  2. On the Change Password page, type your old password and your new password in the appropriate boxes.

    You must use a strong password. Strong passwords contain at least seven characters and include a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and numbers or non-alphanumeric characters. You cannot reuse any of your last 24 passwords.
  3. When you have finished, click Save.

  • You can also change your password on My Company Portal. To change your password on My Company Portal, click Change password at the upper-right corner of the page. You should immediately sign out of the Sign In application and then sign in again by using the new password.
  • If you have trouble changing your password, contact your service administrator to request a password reset.
