About Application Configuration for Mac

Topic Last Modified: 2009-10-19

When you install or update the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application, it checks for applications on your computer that can be used with Microsoft Online Services.

After identifying the compatible applications, the Sign In application automatically begins the configuration process so that you can use the applications with the service. If you have more than one version of a compatible application, the Sign In application configures only the most recent version.

Note
The automatic configuration process does not affect the way you use the applications.

After the initial automatic configuration, you can manually reconfigure your applications at any time. Manual reconfiguration can correct minor issues that sometimes occur between your applications and Microsoft Online Services. To manually reconfigure your applications, on the Sign In application Options menu, click Configure applications.
