Get the Latest Version of the Sign In Application for Mac

To get the latest version of the Sign In application

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Online Services Sign In application.

  2. On the Sign In application menu, click Preferences.

  3. In the Preferences dialog box, click Advanced.

  4. Select the Notify me when an update of the Sign In application is available check box.

With this check box selected, you receive notification whenever Microsoft releases a new version of the Sign In application. The notification provides an option to download and install the new version. Microsoft Online Services recommends that you download and install newer versions of the Sign In application whenever one becomes available.

Although you can postpone installing a non-security update for 30 days, after 30 days the update becomes mandatory.
