Solutions for BlackBerry Devices
Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft SharePoint Online services are both accessible on BlackBerry devices. For Exchange Online customers, three options are available for accessing your e-mail, address book, and calendar on a BlackBerry:

- Hosted BlackBerry service from Microsoft

BlackBerry Internet Service
BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) is a subscription service available through mobile operators around the globe. BIS enables push e-mail to your BlackBerry device at no additional cost. Other Exchange Online information—such as contacts and calendar data—is updated through a wired connection. For information on BIS capabilities and fees, please contact your mobile operator.
Partner Solutions
NotifySync
NotifySync is a client application for BlackBerry smartphones from Notify Technology and can synchronize e-mail, calendar, contacts, and tasks directly with Exchange Online. NotifySync can be configured to either use a "direct" or a "scheduled push" option when connecting to the user's e-mail platform. NotifySync provides support for folder management, global address lookup, meeting invitations, and device remote wipe. It is available in English, French, German, Spanish, and Chinese.
Key features include:
- Custom NotifySync e-mail client to send, receive, reply to, and forward e-mails.
- Attachment viewing, using the BlackBerry native viewers for Microsoft Office Word®, Office Excel®, and Office PowerPoint®.
- Interface to the BlackBerry native calendar, contact, and tasks applications.
- Synchronizes calendar events in a configurable Look-Back/Look-Ahead range.
- Support for multiple address books.
- Remote lookup (Global Address List).
- Password reset.
- Remote device wipe.

AstraSync
AstraSync is an Exchange ActiveSync client software application for BlackBerry. AstraSync performs two-way over-the-air synchronization of e-mail, calendar and contact data with Microsoft Exchange Online. AstraSync supports direct push, secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption, folder management, global address book lookup, and implements Exchange ActiveSync security policies and supports Device Security Password and Remote Wipe. AstraSync includes a full-featured e-mail client with the same look-and-feel as the native BlackBerry messaging application.
Key features include:
- Synchronizes e-mail, calendar, and contacts over-the-air.
- Supports direct push, SSL, and synchronizes over Wi-Fi or the cellular network.
- Supports HTML (version 4.0).
- Supports e-mail reply, forward, forward all including messages with large attachments (smart forward).
- Supports company directory lookup (Global Address List).
- Supports attachments via native BlackBerry Word, Excel and PowerPoint viewers.
- Provides for full e-mail folder management.
- Implements Exchange ActiveSync security policies including device security password and remote device wipe.

Hosted BlackBerry Service from Microsoft Online Services
For Exchange Online and Business Productivity Online Standard Suite customers needing support for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), Microsoft provides the Hosted BlackBerry service. The Hosted BlackBerry Service offers the most commonly requested BlackBerry capabilities for Microsoft Online Services customers, including e-mail, calendar, contacts with global address list integration, tasks, device wipe, and password reset.
The service is purchased and billed separately from Exchange Online or the Business Productivity Online Suite through a separate agreement.
