Windows Mobile Devices

With a Windows phone or other Windows Mobile device, you can provide your employees with access to e-mail, calendars, tasks, and contacts from mobile devices—all while helping to protect against malware and spam. A simple Web-based console helps you securely administer Microsoft Exchange Online and easily enable access to messages on Windows phones and Windows Mobile devices.

Phones that run Windows Mobile 6.0 through the latest version, Windows Mobile 6.5, have built-in compatibility with Exchange ActiveSync®. This data synchronization program allows Exchange Online users to take advantage of these Windows Mobile features:

  • Direct Push: Microsoft Office Outlook® e-mail, calendar, tasks, and contacts are delivered without delay to mobile devices through Exchange Online.
  • Remote device wipe: If a mobile device is lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised, users can sign in to their mailboxes through Outlook Web Access (OWA) and remotely erase all information from the device.
