Protocols Perspective e-Newsletter
The last issue of the Protocols Perspective newsletter was released September 14, 2011, moving all content delivery to an online format. Over the past several years, the Microsoft Open Specifications program has grown tremendously. It has expanded beyond Windows to include technical specifications for protocols in Microsoft Office, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, and Microsoft SQL Server used by other Microsoft products. It has also expanded beyond protocols to include technical specifications for certain file formats, standards, and computer languages implemented in those products.
In line with that growth, new interoperability events and testing opportunities have been added, the learning resources have expanded, and the interoperability-related Web sites, user forums, and blogs have grown. Given the many online resources that now support the Open Specifications, the newsletter format no longer serves as the best way to get the word out about updates and new releases for the tools, events and developer resources associated with these programs. The same resources and tools information previously received through the newsletter are now all available online through the following links:
As always, if you have questions or want more information, send email to the Microsoft Open Specifications Team at infodoc@microsoft.com.
