Microsoft Philippines was cited by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) with two Gold Quill Awards for its programs that empower Filipinos through technology.
Microsoft Philippines received the Gold Quill Award of Excellence for Tulay: An Unlimited Potential Program for OFWs. In collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA), Microsoft's Tulay provides access to both technology and technology training for OFWs that will hopefully enable them to find better career opportunities and give them a way to communicate with their families back home.
On the other hand, the Gold Quill Award of Merit was awarded to the 2nd Innovative Teachers Leadership Awards, a program implemented under Microsoft's Partners in Learning initiative and in partnership with the Department of Education, which encourages the use of technology in the classroom to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
The Gold Quill Awards Philippines is held each year to honor the achievements of professional communicators by recognizing excellence in communication.
