Manila Water Goes Into Enterprise Agreement with Microsoft Philippines to Develop IT Framework

Manila Water Company, a concessionaire of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage Systems, recently signed an Enterprise Agreement with the local subsidiary of the world’s leading software provider Microsoft Philippines, to deploy Microsoft solutions and achieve its business objective of building sustainable communities and preserving the environment.

Under Microsoft’s Volume Licensing program for organizations, the Enterprise Agreement serves as an avenue for organizations to avail of a flexible, cost-effective and manageable host of Microsoft solutions that will help build an adequate IT framework to boost businesses’ company-wide efficiency, growth and development, at the least possible cost.

"Manila Water Company is a loyal advocate of social development and environmental protection, and we are dedicated to provide the most efficient and cost-effective water and wastewater services to over six million customers in select parts of the country,” said Mauch Franco, Manila Water Chief Information Officer. “With Microsoft as our partner, we are confident that we can achieve our business objectives and provide a high-quality of satisfaction to our valued customers."

"We are very delighted to take this step with Manila Water Company,” said Karrie Ilagan, Director for Enterprise and Partner Group, Microsoft Philippines. “With the Enterprise Agreement, we are fully committed to ensuring that Manila Water Company maximizes the features and benefits of Microsoft solutions to help improve its business operations and services to its customers."

Through the Enterprise Agreement and with the help of a Microsoft Gold Certified partner, First Datacorp, Manila Water Company will adopt Microsoft’s Windows Optimized Desktop and utilize Microsoft Dynamics CRM in its infrastructure to build a stable and well-managed IT framework.

With the use of Windows Optimized Desktop, Manila Water Company becomes more flexible, as it enables its employees to access the right applications and the right data from practically anywhere. These machines are designed to complement the users’ changing needs, which further translate to real time updates and revisions, allowing organizations to meet its business requirements.

The desktops are powered by Windows 7 Enterprise, equipped with exclusive features and benefits such as a user-friendly interface with rich media capabilities that simplifies managing data and programs, as well as a seamless integration with other Microsoft products – all geared towards enabling increased productivity for its users, with a high level of confidence that all sensitive data are kept safe.

To match employees' enhanced productivity with Windows 7 Enterprise-powered desktops, Manila Water Company will also deploy Microsoft’s Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution not only to power efficiency but also to improve customer satisfaction and maximize customer retention.

Manila Water Company can easily configure their IT infrastructure to work with existing applications and databases, as well as have a bigger opportunity for scalability, with Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It provides familiar experiences for its users with the next-generation Outlook client, more options to access information either via Web or mobile and gives users the liberty to personalize how the system works based on their specific tasks.

With Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Manila Water Company can work through a flexible cloud infrastructure, gain deeper business insights and manage client relations with a comprehensive view of customer behaviour built on easy-to-use and customizable solutions within the Dynamics platform.

The capability of Microsoft products to work hand-in-hand fuels employees’ productivity and efficiency, which ultimately brings about a more cost-effective work environment that will drive the business forward.

"Through Microsoft’s Enterprise Agreement, Manila Water Company is capable of becoming a dynamic, globally competitive organization, and provide a more enhanced set of services to its customers," said Ilagan.
