Microsoft ushers in digital living, unveils its first Experience Center at Avant Electroworld
Imagine being able to get all the information you need in one click of a button, being able to communicate anywhere, anytime and being able to share all the things you are passionate about to the people who mean most to you. Just imagine all the possibilities that the digital lifestyle could bring.

Microsoft Philippines recently unveiled the very first Microsoft Experience Center in the country in Avant Electroworld located at Greenbelt 4 in Makati. The Experience Center aims to give consumers direct access to the latest Microsoft products and the feel of digital living.

"Our foray into the retail space will allow our customers to get a firsthand experience of our new and emerging technologies, some of which have not been officially launched in the market. The Microsoft Experience Center is a mini hub of technology at its best, and we hope that this will get the consumers psyched about our upcoming product offerings," enthused Ivan Franco, Consumer Marketing Manager, Microsoft Philippines.

The first Experience Center showcases much-anticipated Microsoft Windows Vista and the Microsoft Office 2007, which will hit the Philippine shores with a bang on February 2007.

Featured alongside the new Microsoft products are the latest gadgets and technologies from industry partners HP and O2.

"All the products in our Microsoft Experience Center work well together. You can take a photo using your mobile phone or your digital camera, and then upload it to your computer for filing or sharing or you could opt to print it out. We want the technology that is available today to become tools of productivity and empowerment for our consumers," added Franco.
The Microsoft Experience Center has combined almost everything the enthused techie consumer is interested in. According to the Philippine Consumer PC Research done last February of this year, consumers primarily look for features related to entertainment, memories and communication in a PC and OS. The research further stresses that a mobile phone, a digital camera and a desktop computer are the top three devices that consumers own or want to have.

Microsoft chose to partner with HP, and O2 because their products' can easily interoperate with the new Windows Vista. The new operating system has enhanced mobility features, which allows the user easy synchronization of mobile gadgets to their notebooks or desktops. Managing and organizing of files will be as simple and efficient with Windows Vista.

"We are excited about making the Microsoft Experience Center a part of our retail space here in Avant because we know that our customers would be thrilled to see these new innovations from Microsoft and their partners. It is also very apt to our market because most our clientele are very much into digital living," shared Walter Lim, Avant/ Electroworld Philippines.

Microsoft Philippines will be spreading the digital living fever with the opening of 24 more centers here and outside Metro Manila from now up to early next year towards the general availability launch of Windows Vista and the 2007 Microsoft Office System.
