Neo Gears Up and Goes Vista-ready
Neo Computers, owned by Filipino firm Glee Electronics, Inc., is gearing-up for the widely anticipated next-generation operating system (OS) from Microsoft, the new Windows Vista OS, with the launching of three of their latest Vista-capable notebook models powered by Intel Core 2 duo Technology.

Scheduled for release later this year, Windows Vista promises to bring clarity to the customer's world by enabling them to easily accomplish daily tasks, instantly find what they want, enjoy the latest in entertainment, enjoy the safety of their personal information, stay connected at home or on the go, and help ensure that PCs are up to date, more secure and are running smoothly.

"We are very optimistic about these new Vista capable product offerings, not only because of the things it could offer to our business, but mostly because of the benefits that these new notebooks could give to our customers," said Jason Cheng, President and CEO, Glee Electronics, Inc.

Windows Vista promises to deliver unique user experiences in finding, using, and sharing information while ensuring the utmost security and reliability. The minimum requirements of a Vista capable PC include having at least a 512 MB memory, a modern processor and a graphics processor that is DirectX 9 capable.

All the new models are pre-installed with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition (MCE), an all-in-one PC and home entertainment center that allows users to enjoy and manage their digital information. With MCE, users can do everything that can be done in a Windows XP PC and more. It allows faster Web browsing, PC gaming, e-mailing, instant messaging, music playing, recording of favorite TV shows, multiple channel viewing and others.
The Neo Empriva 540NX2 has a 14" Widescreen WXGA TFT Display with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5500 and 512 MB memory. Added features of the notebook include an integrated Web camera, built-in microphone and speaker. It will sell for an introductory price Php 59,999. This particular Neo notebook is built for users who need the power of efficient performance for multi-tasking whether in the home or in the office.

Slim and light, weighing just 1.8 kg, the Neo Empriva 661NX2 is for people on the go who prefer to bring their notebooks wherever they go. It has a 12.1" Widescreen WXGA TFT Display, also with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5500 and 512 MB memory. It has a built-in microphone and speaker. The suggested retail price of this slim and light wonder is also Php 59,999.

For notebook fanatics and gamers alike, the 670NX2 selling at Php 159,999 is the notebook of choice with its 10/100/1000 Mbps LAN. The Empriva 670NX2 has a 17" widescreen WUXGA TFT Display, which lets users enjoy the gaming and graphic experience with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200. It is also packaged with a web cam, a microphone and speaker.

The new Vista capable notebooks could be purchased from 20 premiere partners of Neo Computers such as Silicon Valley Computer Center, Octagon Computer Center, Compex International Inc., Complink Marketing, Inc., PC Corner, and other certified dealers that monitor and look out for the brand and ensure that Neo computers being purchased in the market are genuine.
