Microsoft Philippines Innovates for a More Competitive Business Environment
Introduces program to better serve Visayas market

3 February 2012, Cebu City - With the theme, “Abante Cebu 2012: Innovations for a More Competitive Business Environment,” Microsoft today introduced its Geo Expansion Program, which will enable Visayan businesses to utilize the best Microsoft technology innovations. Under this initiative, Microsoft has appointed MSI-ECS as its official Market Development Partner (MDP) in the Central Visayas region. As an MDP, MSI-ECS is investing in dedicated sales and technical resources to expand coverage and better address the needs of small and midsized organizations in these locations. Apart from this, Microsoft will also be organizing more marketing activities like technology updates and product road shows, to enable customers to become more familiar with Microsoft’s rich lineup of products and services for self-service SMBs that will help them boost their productivity and connect with customers.

“At Microsoft, we recognize the value that small and medium-sized businesses bring to the local economy, and our goal is to empower them to thrive and grow,” said John Bessey, Managing Director, Microsoft Philippines. “Working with partners from public and private sectors, we aim to provide Filipino businesses with flexible solutions that enhance their operational efficiency and increase worker productivity, allowing them to take advantage of our latest technologies while maximizing their existing IT investments,” added Bessey.

Recognizing that technology is the catalyst to help SMBs serve their customers more effectively, Microsoft’s partners are helping these organizations accelerate modernization through a flexible set of solutions that meet more stringent security, reliability, and regulatory needs of SMBs, which have changed through time.

“Like Microsoft, we aspire to help Filipino businesses see the value and maximize the use of technology,” Jimmy Go, President, MSI-ECS. “MSI-ECS and Microsoft share the same vision and are moving towards the same direction. This is why we hold our partnership with them in high regard,” added Go.

Dette Nacario, Microsoft Philippines’ Director for Small and Midmarket Solutions and Partners (SMS&P) shared how Microsoft innovations and its partner network can help both local and national economies. “Through the Geo Expansion Program, Microsoft recognizes the hard work that its partners are putting in to ensure the delivery of quality service to Microsoft customers. SMBs are the lifeblood of the economy because they are nimble, innovative, and connected to the customer value. That is why we have a rich line-up of products and services for the SMBs that will help them boost their productivity and connect with customers. We want to endure that SMBs are getting the most out of their Microsoft products.”

“We will constantly work with Microsoft to deliver the best solutions to help transform businesses. Moreover, we not only aim to equip our customers with the best technologies, but also give them the best available support to optimize their technologies,” ended Go.
