November 2012, Manila, Philippines — Microsoft Philippines recently joined forces with global pharmaceutical company, Aspen Pharma as its newest partner that will utilize SQL Server 2012, a cloud-ready information platform that builds quick and secure solutions, to help analyze and manage critical business data to increase productivity.
As the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing company in Australia and South Africa with more than 800 products, Aspen Pharma operates in more than 100 countries with 18 manufacturing facilities worldwide. In the Philippines, Aspen Pharma has similar intensive data and business operation requirements such as ensuring integrity and timely consolidation of data, efficient sales crediting, and automated computation of incentives and generation of accurate reports.
“Microsoft’s SQL Server 2012 enabled our company to create a single data warehouse that efficiently manages our reports across our business groups,” said Celso Avena, Commercial Services Manager of Aspen Philippines.
With SQL Server 2012, ASPEN Pharma is able to create a single data warehouse and use existing licenses of Excel to allow users to quickly analyse and report on company information. It also enabled the firm to utilize SharePoint 2010 Business Intelligence and PowerView implementation to publish highly intuitive reports to users for day to day analysis.
