Role purpose
The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop comprehensive project plans, manage complex projects, coordinate across teams and drive to completion, while maintaining customer satisfaction and clearly communicating status to all project stakeholders. Facilitate and coordinate a diverse group of technical operations team members. Create and apply best practices for process and procedures where possible, to ensure the highest quality execution.
Responsibilities Include:
| • | Collaboration with key stakeholders to develop delivery plans (analysis / development / test / support / other internal IT teams); |
| • | Initiating, leading and delivering on time/multiple operations focused projects; |
| • | Work collaboratively within, and outside of operations team to maintain consistency of process; |
| • | Communication of strategies, methodology & tools to work group members, project team members; |
| • | Preparation of presentations, status reporting & budgets to project stakeholders/ business requestors; |
| • | Preparation and delivery of presentations to Microsoft customers on how Microsoft IT deploys and runs IT Services |
| • | Balance of user requirements with technical and budget constraints. |
Project Management responsibilities include:
| • | Preparation of project schedules; |
| • | Tracking of project progress and schedule management; |
| • | Development and budget tracking; |
| • | Management of multiple month projects that integrate with other sustaining business operational needs. |
Requirements:
| • | Operations experience (2-4 years) preferably at a program manager level of responsibility within IT infrastructure projects delivery; |
| • | Proven leader capable of managing multiply operational projects; |
| • | Providing expertise in the development of complex business processes. |
| • | Working effectively across multiple teams, roles and disciplines; |
| • | Ability to work well under tight deadlines with a focus on customer satisfaction; |
| • | Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English language on advanced level); |
| • | Ability to successfully prioritize issues and drive to closure; |
| • | Excellent multi-tasking skills; |
| • | Knowledge and experience with a remote project management discipline; |
| • | Must also have superior drive for results, leadership, judgment, problem resolution, team building, negotiation, budgeting, decision-making skills & the ability to work under continual deadline pressure. |
A strong technical aptitude or experience is highly appreciated in one or more of the following areas: network engineering / implementation, WAN/LAN engineering/implementation, operation team process changes and software tool rollouts.
This job is focused on internal Microsoft projects and does not require travelling.
