If a turn is missed, the program will automatically re-route the traveler, providing spoken directions along the route.

Full Screen Map View has been streamlined to place the four most commonly used buttons at users’ fingertips. With the improved display, travelers can access the options they need quickly and easily while in the car, without having to spend time searching.

Driving Guidance panedisplays textual turn-by-turn directions, with enlarged arrows indicating where to turn and distance measured in miles, then in yards as drivers get closer to the destination. Updated Mapping data includes more than 6.2 million miles of local, city and highway roads and more than 1.6 million points of interest across the U.S. and Canada, including hotels, restaurants, ATMs and national parks.

Integration with Live Search helps consumers find millions of local business listings when they’re online. They can then save the information to their Streets & Trips maps and routes. Keyword search helps consumers quickly find listings near their location by entering words such as “coffee” or “restaurant.” Search results refresh automatically as the user moves around the map, so the most relevant information is available.

Advanced route planning and travel tools help travelers stay on track and easily make quick adjustments to their trip while en route:

Dynamic Turn View automatically zooms in to the current position, allowing travelers to see their present location as well as upcoming directional changes. In addition, the GPS Trail allows travelers to see exactly where they have been on the map and features an easy-to-see arrow so travelers always know what direction they are going on the map.

Snap Route Technology lets consumers drag and drop routes to quickly change their travel plans or navigate around trouble spots.
