Anywhere Working Consortium launches online portal

The Anywhere Working Consortium today unveiled an online portal that will help UK organisations adopt more flexible working practices. The portal will serve as a resource for employers and employees alike, offering training, guidance, case studies and product offers from the consortium, whose members include Business in the Community, Microsoft, Nokia, Nuffield, Regus and Vodafone UK. Microsoft at Education World Forum and BETT 2012

This week Microsoft will have a major presence at two key education events held in London, UK. Education World Forum, the largest global gathering of education ministers and the internationally recognised ministerial forum for debating future practice in education, will run from 9-11th January. As part of this, Microsoft, in partnership with the British Council, will host the Education Leaders Briefing, bringing education ministers, policy makers and experts together to explore the big issues around learning, education, students and technology in a two hour ‘talk show' format. Following this, BETT, the world's leading event for educational technology, will run from 11–14th January. Microsoft Takes Legal Action Against U.K. Retailer Comet

Microsoft Corp. today issued proceedings against Comet Group PLC for allegedly creating and selling more than 94,000 sets of counterfeit Windows Vista and Windows XP recovery CDs. The alleged counterfeits were sold to customers who had purchased Windows-loaded PCs and laptops.
