CeBIT is the world's largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments, held annually in Hannover, Germany. This year's event takes place from 6th – 10th March and is expected to attract more than 300,000 people. Microsoft: Cloud Computing to Create Millions of Jobs

Microsoft Corp. today published commissioned research from analyst firm IDC indicating that cloud computing will create nearly 14 million new jobs globally by 2015 – including over two million in Europe, Middle East and Africa. IDC's research predicts revenues from cloud innovation could reach $1.1 trillion per year by 2015, which, combined with cloud efficiencies, will drive significant organizational reinvestment and job growth. Microsoft Drives Cloud Innovation in Tourism with the UN World Tourism Organization

Today in Madrid, Microsoft is announcing an agreement with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) through which we will help drive technology adoption, particularly focused on cloud computing, for the tourism industry. This deal will benefit the 155 UNWTO member countries and the more than 400 affiliate members representing the private sector, educational institutions, tourism associations and local tourism authorities, by helping them apply cloud technologies to improve business efficiency and innovation. True flexible working remains a privilege for the knowledge worker elite

As Anywhere Working Week kicks off in the UK to highlight the benefits of remote work, Microsoft research into flexible workstyles shows that the majority of business leaders Europe are very optimistic about the business and employee benefits of flexible working practices. 82% of European businesses report allowing flexible working, according to the survey. However, the study findings indicate that many businesses have yet to implement a strategy for making new ways of working a reality, and employees point to obstacles such as the right technology access and managerial guidance. Is true flexible working a reality for only a minority of knowledge workers in European businesses?

Microsoft to expand its Dublin data centre with $130m investment to further increase capacity and growing demand for cloud services across Europe

The expansion is driven by increased demand for Microsoft's cloud services.
