‘Microsoft on the Issues' Launches African Blog

Microsoft Africa today announced the launch of the African edition of its ‘Microsoft on the Issues' blog. Building on the success of its corporate blog, which has been running since January 2009, ‘Microsoft on the Issues: Africa' will provide a platform for discussing how ICT has and will continue to be crucial in helping transform Africa.

Microsoft launches HealthVault in the UK

On Tuesday 22 June, HealthVault will launch in the UK. As part of this launch, we will also be announcing Nuffield Health as the first UK partner with its My Health Info application, which will be hosted on MSN. This application will allow users to gain an insight into their health data – helping them to monitor their blood pressure, calculate their body mass index and measure the amount of steps they take as exercise.

The six organisations have designed a blended learning programme, called the "Certificate in ICT in Education for Policy Implementers," for officials and professionals involved in the roll-out and integration of ICT in schools and colleges across Africa.
