Microsoft today announced the two global winners of its new creative storytelling contest – The Microsoft Advertising Story Awards. In an outstanding show of originality from bourgeoning advertising markets, the winners impressed the final judging panel with their creativity and innovative use of Microsoft Advertising solutions. Microsoft today announced the judges who will oversee the final round of its new creative storytelling contest – The Microsoft Advertising Story Awards (MSAs). The judges form an illustrious panel of advertising executives from around the world, chosen for their industry expertise and deep understanding of storytelling. They will judge the final heat of the competition by assessing the entries from more than 50 local winners – two (brand and non profit) from each of the markets in which the competition is running. New study shows changes in online behaviour and receptivity to online advertising

Microsoft Advertising, MEC and Mindshare Worldwide have released a study that reveals a contrast in receptiveness to online advertising between the more mature markets – UK, France, Spain, Canada, Japan and US - and emerging markets like Brazil, China, Mexico, Russia and India. It also shows that spontaneous activity on the internet has halved in the last two years as consumers, conscious of the addictive nature of the web, try to stay focused and make better use of time spent online.
