Cloud OS heralds a new era of efficiency for businesses

Edwin Yuen, Microsoft’s Director of Virtualisation and Cloud Strategy, discusses how the Cloud OS, with Windows Server 2012 and Windows Azure at its core, brings together all the services required by end users, developers and IT to truly reap the benefits of the Cloud. Edwin highlights the City of Barcelona as one European customer already benefitting from the Microsoft Cloud OS. By using Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V to consolidate its virtualisation desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment, the City of Barcelona is giving employees more flexibility, expanding VDI to more users and enhancing security. They also hope there will be cost savings in comparison with their existing VMware virtualisation solution.
