Sue Bevington is corporate vice president of human resources for SMSG (Sales, Marketing, Services Group) Worldwide. In this role she works with Chief Operating Officer Kevin Turner and his team to help drive SMSG's business priorities through people. A key part of Bevington's role is leading the more than 500 HR professionals who support SMSG worldwide. Bevington joined Microsoft in 2004 and prior to her current position, served as the human resources general manager for Microsoft North America.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Bevington spent her career in HR at Monsanto Company and Solutia Inc. She first interned with Monsanto while in graduate school and joined the company on a full-time basis upon graduation. At Monsanto she held a variety of field positions in Human Resources. Monsanto spun into two separate publicly traded companies in 1997. Bevington joined one of the new companies, Solutia Inc. where she continued to lead HR efforts for the company's largest chemical plant. While at Monsanto and Solutia, Bevington worked in a variety of field roles in Iowa, Louisiana, New Jersey and Massachusetts. She then had a corporate role in St. Louis, where she had HR generalist responsibilities along with overall corporate responsibility for Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Program (EEO/AAP), staffing and diversity. She was also involved in acquisition work. Bevington then took a role in the United Kingdom leading HR for a start-up business in pharmaceutical services. Ultimately, she led the HR organization for Solutia as the vice president of human resources until joining Microsoft in 2004.

Bevington has a bachelor's degree from Graceland University with majors in Business Administration and Psychology and a master's degree in Management and Organizations from The University of Iowa.
