Chris Atkinson leads the execution and development of sales, marketing and partner strategy across small, medium and large organizations for Microsoft in Asia Pacific. He is also responsible for relations with the developer community and coordinates Microsoft's global businesses in the region including MSN, Home & Retail, OEM, and Network Solution Provider groups.

Atkinson relocated to Asia in 2002 from Microsoft's worldwide headquarters in the U.S, where he was vice president of product management for the .NET Enterprise Server suite of products.

Prior to this Atkinson was based in Paris, where he was responsible the Business Solutions Group for Microsoft in Europe, Middle East & Africa. In that role, his main responsibilities included overseeing the sales and marketing of developer tools, database and e-business servers and overall relations with Microsoft's developer community.

Atkinson joined Microsoft in the United Kingdom in 1992 with responsibilities to develop Microsoft's business with leading financial institutions.

Atkinson is married with four daughters, and the family lives in Singapore. Atkinson holds a BSC in computer science from the University of Westminster.
