KochCorporate Vice President, Worldwide Retail Sales and Marketing Group, Entertainment and Devices Division Updated: December 2, 2009 As corporate vice president of the Worldwide Retail Sales and Marketing Group for the Entertainment and Devices Division of Microsoft Corp., Mitch Koch is responsible for driving worldwide retail, sales and marketing initiatives for the entire range of products across Microsoft's consumer product line including Windows, Office, Xbox and Microsoft mice and keyboards. With a proven track record as a global retail strategist and strong partner to retailers, Koch has been instrumental in expanding Microsoft's retail impact around the world in more than 55,000 retail locations across more than 100 countries. Koch joined Microsoft in October 2000, bringing with him more than 20 years of retail and consumer marketing experience. Prior to Microsoft, Koch was president of Buena Vista Home Entertainment, a division of Walt Disney Co. He is an active community volunteer and serves on a number of boards, including the First Tee of Greater Seattle, Special Olympics Washington and the Seattle Sports Commission, as well as serving on the Board of Governors for the Children's Miracle Network. Koch holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from California State University. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three sons.
