Enrique Rodriguez

Corporate Vice President, TV, Video and Music Business

Enrique Rodriguez is corporate vice president for the TV, Video and Music Business at Microsoft, which includes the Microsoft Mediaroom, PlayReady, Windows Media Center and Zune product groups. In this role, Enrique is responsible for aligning Microsoft's TV, video and music strategies to deliver great connected entertainment experiences to and across multiple screens.

Prior to his current role, Rodriguez served was corporate vice president for the Microsoft Connected TV Business, driving the strategy and leading the teams responsible for the development, marketing and sales of Microsoft Mediaroom and Windows Media Center. Before heading Microsoft Connected TV, Rodriguez served as vice president of Xbox Partnerships, where he was a key contributor to the launch of Xbox and Xbox 360 products and services. In this role, he led the team defining the expansion of the Xbox 360 platform to non-gaming entertainment applications.

Rodriguez brings extensive experience working with service providers to deliver innovative products and services to market. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2003, Rodriguez spent over 20 years at Thomson/RCA, where he served in a variety of engineering and executive roles. Most recently, he was executive vice president, broadband access products, responsible for Thomson's worldwide digital set-top box, DSL and cable modem activities focused on telecommunications, cable and satellite network operators. Before that, as senior vice president of Thomson's multimedia products business unit, Rodriguez led the development and commercialization of digital set-top boxes, as well as professional products and services dedicated to TV content owners and digital network operators.

Rodriguez holds more than 25 U.S. patents and numerous international derivatives. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (Mexico) in 1982.
