Sanjay ParthasarathyCorporate Vice President, Startup Business Accelerator Updated: February 14, 2008 As corporate vice president of the Startup Business Accelerator, Sanjay Parthasarathy's focus is on building startup businesses for Microsoft. Most recently, Parthasarathy was corporate vice president of the Developer and Platform Evangelism Group (D&PE) responsible for platform strategy and evangelism of the Microsoft platform to developers, IT professionals, students and partners. Other activities of the group included the Channel 9 web site, the Imagine Cup competition for students and managing Microsoft's relationships with key ISV partners. Prior to D&PE, Parthasarathy was general manager of Worldwide Customer Systems, a role which included responsibility for www.microsoft.com, at the time the world's fourth largest Web site, and overseeing the IT infrastructure for Microsoft's sales and marketing organizations. Before that, Parthasarathy was the regional director of Microsoft's South Asia Region. Before managing the South Asia Region, Parthasarathy was product unit manager of Internet Security Products. Parthasarathy joined Microsoft in 1990 as a product manager in the Windows multimedia group in August 1990.
