Editor’s Note, Oct. 31, 2007 - Scott Di Valerio announced his departure from Microsoft in October 2007. In his last position with Microsoft, Di Valerio was corporate vice president of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Division at Microsoft Corp. He oversaw Microsoft’s relationships with makers of personal computers and other devices, multinational and regional OEMs, and embedded systems manufacturers. [All other text from this point on remains the same as on the page.] Before joining the OEM Division in November 2005, Di Valerio was Microsoft’s corporate vice president of Finance and Administration and chief accounting officer (CAO). He also has served as corporate controller. As CAO, he was responsible for worldwide management and external financial reporting, financial systems, and corporate accounting. In addition, he directed Corporate Services, including Real Estate, Facilities, Procurement and Global Shared Services. Before joining Microsoft, Di Valerio was a corporate vice president at The Walt Disney Co., chief financial officer at Mindwave Software Inc. and a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the United States and Europe. Di Valerio has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of San Diego. Away from work, he likes to attend his children’s and professional sporting events, and enjoys golf, landscaping and outdoor activities with his family. |
