Corporate Vice President, Office Business Platform, Microsoft Business Division

As corporate vice president of Microsoft SharePoint, Jeff Teper is responsible for the company's business collaboration platform including portal, content management, social networking and search capabilities. SharePoint 2007 became one of the fastest growing products in Microsoft's history, passing $1 billion in revenues, 100 million users and 4,000 partners. Teper also led Microsoft's acquisition of FAST, growing the company's leadership in enterprise search. In 2008, his team launched its first cloud offering, SharePoint Online. The team recently released a major new version, SharePoint 2010, along with Microsoft Office 2010.

Teper joined Microsoft in 1992 to work with information technology strategists and developers on early Windows NT deployments. He then served as a group program manager for MSN and the Internet Business Unit, focused on security and directory technologies. In 1998 he led the creation of a new group focused on knowledge management, which launched SharePoint Portal Server in 2001.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Teper was vice president for software development and consulting for an investment firm in New York.

Teper holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems and finance from New York University, where he was class valedictorian.
