An important word of warning: Microsoft and its alliance partners are embarking on a major publicity program to raise awareness of Internet lottery fraud. The criminals who perpetrate these crimes are extremely innovative. It is possible that they might take advantage of press coverage to re-contact their victims posing as someone connected to the alliance and working to provide compensation. Please do not part with any money in return for the promise of compensation or assistance but instead contact your local police.
