Updating Microsoft Reader

Updating Microsoft Reader is a simple two-step process.

1 You may need to install an updated version of Microsoft Reader and re-activate your machine. If you have a desktop, laptop, or Tablet PC and installed your current version of Microsoft Reader prior to July 1, 2003, then it's likely you will need to install the latest version. If you have a Pocket PC and are using Microsoft Reader for Pocket PC 2002 or 2003, it's also likely you will need to install the latest version.

2 Once you've installed the latest version of Microsoft Reader, it's time to activate. If you have a desktop, laptop, or Tablet PC and activated your current version of Microsoft Reader prior to September 30, 2003, then it's likely you will need to re-activate your device(s).

Activation is a quick registration process that identifies your computers as yours alone, and is required to purchase and read digitally secured Microsoft Reader eBook titles. Be sure you have the latest version of Microsoft Reader before you proceed to activation.
