To configure users for a Web publishing rule

1.

In the console tree of ISA Management, click Web publishing rules.

Where?

Internet Security and Acceleration Server > Servers and Arrays > Name  > Publishing > Web Publishing Rules

On the View menu, confirm that Advanced has a check mark next to it.

In the details pane, right-click the applicable rule and then click Properties.

To specify clients or users for the rule, on the Applies To tab, do one of the following:

Click Any request.

Click Client address sets specified below.

Click Users and groups specified below.

If you clicked Users or groups specified below or Client address sets specified below, then do the following:

To add users or clients to Applies to requests coming from, click Add.

To add users or clients to Exceptions, click Add.

Notes

To open ISA Management, click Start, point to Programs, point to Microsoft ISA Server, and then click ISA Management.

For Web publishing rules, client address sets typically include addresses of computers on the Internet.

Users will be authenticated differently, depending on how you configure ISA Server.
