Event messages

Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server records events that occur during its operation in Event Viewer. You can use Event Viewer to monitor and troubleshoot events.

This section provides information about ISA Server events, including:

ID number. The number that identifies the event type. The event number helps technical support representatives track events in the system.

Event message. A description of the event that also appears on the property page for the event.

Explanation. A description of the possible cause of the event.

User action. A description of the actions you can take to solve or prevent the problem.

There are four severity levels for individual event messages:

Success

Informational

Warning

Error

Use Event Viewer to view the severity level or to view more information regarding individual messages. Successful events do not appear in the Event Viewer.
