To change network adapter settings

1.

Open Device Manager

2.

Double-click Network adapters.

3.

Right-click the network adapter for which you want to change settings, and then click Properties.

On the Advanced tab, make the desired changes.

Note

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may also prevent you from completing this procedure. 

To open Device Manager, click Start, and then click Control Panel. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System. On the Hardware tab, click Device Manager

Device properties for network adapters are device dependent. Read the device manufacturer's instruction manual to determine which settings you need to change.
