Edlin: q (quit)

Stops the current Edlin.exe session without writing the edited file from memory to a disk.

Remarks

Windows XP does not use this command. It is accepted only for compatibility with MS-DOS files. 

This tool is not available on Windows XP 64-Bit Edition. 

To write the edited file from memory to a disk before ending the current session, use the e (end) subcommand.
