To enable IPv6 forwarding

1.

Open Command Prompt

2.

At the command prompt, type:

ipv6 if

to obtain the interface index of the interface over which the forwarding of received packets is being enabled.

3.

At the command prompt, type:

ipv6 ifc InterfaceIndex forwards

where InterfaceIndex is the interface number for the interface.

If you want the computer to additionally send Router Advertisement messages, at the command prompt, type:

ipv6 ifc InterfaceIndex forwards advertises

4.

Repeat step 3 for all interfaces over which forwarding is enabled.

To open command prompt, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Command Prompt
