Certificates is a snap-in that helps you request new public key certificates and manage existing certificates. Certificates are used by a variety of public key security services and applications that provide authentication, data integrity, and secure communications across nonsecure networks such as the Internet. Administrators can manage certificates for themselves and other users, a computer, or a service Users can manage certificates only for themselves.
