Windows Support Tools on the CD

You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group in order to use Windows Support Tools. If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from using Windows Support Tools.

Along with many useful tools built into the Windows operating system, over 40 additional Support Tools are included on the Windows CD. These tools are intended to assist Microsoft support personnel and network administrators in diagnosing and resolving computer problems.

Certain Support Tools, if used improperly, might cause your computer to stop functioning. It is recommended that only experienced users install and use Support Tools.

The Support Tools and the Support Tools Help are in English only.

When you install the Support Tools on your hard disk, Setup also installs a Help file for using the tools, an error and event message Help file, and the Windows 2000 Server Resource Kit Deployment Planning Guide.
