To change file or folder properties
1. | Open My Documents If the file or folder you want is not located in My Documents or its subfolders, use Search to find it. To open Search, click Start, and then click Search. |
2. | Click the file or folder that contains the properties you want to change. |
3. | On the File menu, click Properties. |

| • | To open My Documents, click Start, and then click My Documents. |
| • | You can also right-click a file or folder and then click Properties. |
| • | To change properties for archiving, indexing, compression, or encryption on NTFS drives, right-click the file or folder, click Properties, click Advanced, and then select the options you want to change. |
