Microsoft Application Center Server

Application Center Application Center is Microsoft's deployment and management tool for high-availability Web applications built on the Microsoft Windows® 2000 and Windows Server™ 2003 operating systems. Application Center makes managing groups of servers as simple as managing a single computer.

Microsoft has created the processor-based licensing model to simplify the acquisition and maintenance of Application Center Server software licenses.

A customer acquires a Processor License for each CPU contained in the machine running their server software.

A Processor License includes access for an unlimited number of users to connect from either inside the corporate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN) or outside the firewall.

Customers are no longer required to purchase additional Server licenses, Client Access Licenses (CALs), or Internet Connector Licenses.
