Content Management Server
Content Management Server—Microsoft Content Management Server is the enterprise Web content management system that enables companies to quickly and efficiently build, deploy, and maintain highly dynamic Internet, intranet and extranet Web sites.
Microsoft uses a processor-based licensing model to simplify the acquisition and maintenance of server software licenses.
Content Management Server installations that are part of your day-to-day operations require production licenses. Computers running Content Management Server require one production license for each processor. For example, a four-processor server running Content Management Server requires four Content Management Server licenses.
A processor license includes access for an unlimited number of users to connect from either inside the corporate local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN), or outside the firewall.
Customers are no longer required to purchase additional Server licenses, Client Access Licenses (CALs), or Internet Connector Licenses.
