The MMPC delivers global malware research, response, and protection capabilities to help protect customers worldwide from emerging and existing threats. Microsoft has made significant progress over the years in helping protect customers from malicious software and potentially unwanted software. However, these threats to businesses and consumers continue to evolve as evidenced by the MMPC's analysis of the threat landscape, highlighted in the Microsoft Security Intelligence Report, published twice yearly.
Security threats are an industry wide issue and it is important that the industry work together to stay ahead of these threats and help protect customers. Malicious Software Removal Tool. Together, these products remove malicious software from hundreds of millions of computers worldwide each month.
Respond
The
MMPC has established a global network of research and response labs (Redmond - USA, Vancouver - Canada, Dublin - Ireland, Munich - Germany, Melbourne - Australia) with additional researchers in New York, Los Angeles, and Beijing. With this global expertise the
MMPC is able to respond quickly and effectively to new threats whenever and wherever they arise.
Guidance and advice
The
MMPC engages widely within the antimalware industry and collaborates with researchers, partners,
ISVs and law enforcement organizations worldwide. Additionally, the
MMPC releases research results, advice and guidance regularly through the
MMPC online portal, on the
MMPC blog, via
