William A. Arbaugh

President and CTO

William Arbaugh spent sixteen years with the U.S.Defense Department first as a commissioned officer in the Army and then as a civilian at the National Security Agency. During the sixteen years, Dr. Arbaugh served in several leadership positions in diverse areas ranging from tactical communications to advanced research in information security and networking. In his last position, Dr. Arbaugh served as a senior technical advisor in an office of several hundred computer scientists, engineers, and mathematicians conducting advanced networking research and engineering. Dr. Arbaugh received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a M.S. in computer science from Columbia University in New York City and a PhD in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prof. Arbaugh was a member of DARPA's Information Science And Technology (ISAT) study group, and he also served on the advisory board of the IEEE Computer, and the editorial board of IEEE Security and Privacy magazines. He has also co-authored a book with Jon Edney on Wi-Fi security that is published by Addison-Wesley. Professor Arbaugh is currently on a leave of absence from the University of Maryland at College Park where is an Associate Professor.



Jeffrey D. Chung

Vice President of Engineering

Jeffrey Chung earned both his bachelors of and masters of computer science engineering at the University of Pennsylvania. He has extensive experience in operating systems and computer networking. At Silicon Graphics, Inc., he contributed to the delivery of the Gigabyte Systems Network Infrastructure for the government funded Earth Imaging System project. Jeffrey was responsible for delivering 790MB/sec of application throughput (i.e. network file system over a 800MB/sec network). He has also held various engineering positions at Atheros Communications.



Nick L. Petroni, Jr.

Senior Engineer and Co-Founder

Nick Petroni holds a B.S. in computer science (summa cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in computer science from the University of Maryland, College Park. Nick has over five years of experience in engineering, consulting, and research in the fields of network and systems security. He has worked in private industry for firms such as IBM and Secure Methods, and has served both industry and government customers as a consultant. Nick has been active in international standards bodies such as the IEEE and IETF and is an author/contributor on a number of Open Source projects. He is also the author of several peer-reviewed publications on systems security.
