Summary
This threat is classified as a trojan dialer. A dialer trojan causes infected systems to dial premium-rate telephone numbers, resulting in unexpected and often large telephone charges on affected users’ phone bills. Attackers may install dialer trojans for financial profit, for revenge, or as a prank. Dialer trojans are effective only on systems equipped with a modem connected to a phone line. This threat is detected by the Microsoft antivirus engine. Technical details are not currently available.
